Is My PSP Brick???

Hiz guys need some help here... i just downgraded my frenz PSP from version 2.81>1.5>3.40oe-a... i was happily playing with his PSP with my mem. stick... then out of the sudden the PSP just BLACK OUT!!! I try to on back the PSP and it show a black screen with the on light on and goes off after a couple of seconds then i try to attempt to go into the recovery menu and i can't it gave me the same problem the with the grenn lights on and black out again... so just trying to find out here is there a solutiob to my problem or have i brick my PSP... THX

From what I can tell thats a brick. I dont know how you bricked it but it really sounds like one. But dont take only my word on this.
 
No, you're right TimmyT, it's a brick. Sorry dude, but from the sound of it your PSP got brick'd.:sad:
 
imobile: have you tried holding the brightness key down, or pressing it a few times. I'm assuming the green light stays on right?
 
Of course, one thing people never consider right off is it might be bad hardware. Hardware does randomly go bad, depending on usage, climate, karma, evil twins, etc..

bummer. :( yeah it was most likely due to hardware failure as Chilly said.
 
yeah have thought of it too... but anyway i have already send that unit for repair... so whether it's a brick or hardware failure we will know when my frenz dismantle the psp and find out wat's wrong.. casue it's a bummer to him too that it's just black out and won't on back....
 
Just to share with the ppl here... My frenz has tested the PSP and he told me that it was bad flashing... He said in our country it's call "20 sec brick"(dunnoe wat that means either:confused1: ) but he said it sometime happen to PSP with TA boards when they flash to 3.40OE-A... He said someting about wat unstability casue of how many kernel 3.4oe use and wat idstorage... Anyway dun get wat he mean but he said he will fix the problem for me... just here to share wat he told me.... 8)
