Is there any hope for the Wii?

I was, at one point, looking forward to Q4 and the holiday season thinking Nintendo would do something, but then I realized there isn't much to say for the Wii at this point. The most hyped game lately has been Wii music, which has gotten some pretty poor reviews. Besides Smash Bros what other games do people still play consistently?

Obviously the wii had titles like Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess (which I'm sure most of you have beaten both) but are there any other under-the-radar hopefuls out there?

Someone mentioned "The Conduit" to me, but I don't know much about it. It's the only title that I know that ANY wii owner is looking forward to.

Madworld
Zelda

Never heard of The Conduit though.
And I've never heard of Madworld.
I'm not too sure about the next Zelda. I mean, TP was awesome, but it was just really an attempt to remake OoT rather than give a "New Zelda Experience". I hope the next one brings something new...

Suck It
There was never any hope for the Wii since the very beginning. I saw it as gimicky; and holy shit - I was right. Despite the sales being through the roof, no serious gamer would actually consider holding the Wii up for longer than 2 weeks. Much like Noriko said, the target audience eats it up despite most of the games being absolute shit, and Nintendo loves it because they make a fortune. The Wii has no progressive platform, and a significant majority of the games are nothing more than bad.
Isn't it a sign that the only worthwhile games are mostly games that you should be playing with a plugged in GC controller? (Zelda, Mario, SSB) The entire wiimote premise is cool to see at first, but then it quickly turns sour. Having to see an extension as an analog stick is hurtful and uncomfortable imo.

Teh wii suks teh cack

Agreed but I'm sick of this demographic talk. All I hear is casual, kiddies, and oldies. I want a decent hard-core gamer game.

Madworld. See videos below.

That's because Nintendo don't want you to.
It's being made by Platinum Games (Psychonauts) and Nintendo are pretty much leaving it be and pretending it doesn't exist. All marketing is down to the developers.

And they lost a customer because of things like that.
Psychonauts was brilliant and I don't even need to watch the trailer to know that something brilliant is coming to the Wii.
The guy who bought mine should be happy.

Agreed but I'm sick of this demographic talk. All I hear is casual, kiddies, and oldies. I want a decent hard-core gamer game.

Well i consider myself a hardcore gamer.

I think the wiimote was very cool just not the actual hardware of the console itself.

Alot of wii games are garbage and alot f the ones that are not have other console counterparts wich are better.

hace you seen cod for wii (the new one). it looks nothing like ps3 or xbox 360 or xbox 1 (grfx wise) but the sad part is there are things about it that they wanna keep upgrading *cough motion plus.

and its games are usually ps2 or less quality. Example:
[YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LNcaCbpajB8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LNcaCbpajB8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

If you look closely the ps2 and wii versions are ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME but the wii version looks darker.

Okami is a great game for the wii though you should try that. And super smash bros brawl.

Call of Duty's graphics alone turned me away from buying the game. I was pretty excited for it and once I saw game-play footage I lost all interest.

Ok, well seeing as my little bro just got a wii, and i talked my stepdad into buying twilight princess as well as a 50 pack of blanks, i can hoard some games for a little bit, any recommendations?

So far, heres what me and my little bros have selected, for the sake of being somewhat fair, the 50 pack will divided as follows.

Little Bro #1: 15 Games
Little Bro #2: 15 Games
Me: 20 Games

And here are some of the decided games:
Super Smash Bros Brawl [LB1 Pick Only Problem with this one is its a 7GB game, i have to find some Dual layers for this]
Metal of Honor 2:Heroes [LB2 Pick]

Maybes -
Wii Sports [Undecided who gets to pick this one, im gonna talk em into it so i can still have lots of games i can pick]
Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles [My Pick]
Mario Party 8
Okami
House of the Dead 2 n 3
Wii Play
RE4 Wii Edition [Only cuz i havent beaten this biatch and the only console i can pirate it on is this.]
Super Monkey Ball [STFU: I luv supa monkey bawls]
Super Mario Galaxy
Pokemon Battle Revolution
Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars [I read about Gamecock like last year, they sound smart n bad ass, so i wann try em out, see if their studios got bawls.]
Far Cry Vengance
Metroid Prime Curroption

And to the guy who said he wanted endless ocean 2, how was the first?

Robby

Los Doyers!
I haven't opened any of my other games.
Metroid Prime Corruption
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Brawls
Zelda: Twlight Princess
Brothers in Arms
Resident Evil 4

So I should be good for awhile, then I will go back to my xbox360.
