Leave it to Team Ninja's Itagaki-san to start up more controversy in the gaming world. In a recent interview with GamePro, the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden mastermind is quoted as saying, "The DS, unlike the PSP, is a portable that was designed to be a portable."

Ouch. I beg to differ, the PSP is designed to be a portable, and it delivers a near-console experience in your hands. What's wrong with that? Itagaki thinks everything is wrong with that. In response to why he didn't bring Ninja Gaiden over to the PSP, Itagaki said "If we were gonna make it for PSP, it'd be better for us to make it for a powerful home system instead."

I don't particularly agree with him, there's some really innovative PSP games like Lumines and Loco Roco. Sure, the games could also be done on a console with better graphics and all, but I'd still rather play them on a handheld.

What would you say you do here?

Honestly I couldn't care less about what Itagaki thinks about the PSP...
Now what Koji Igarashi thinks, to me that matters.

Me either. Though I respect him for his work in the Xbox version of Ninja Gaiden.. he talks way too much trash.

Hmm... He ALMOST has a point, though, I mean, I completely love the PSP, but I don't take it much out of my house, cuz in it's case it's pretty frickin enormous, and the battery doesn't last forever, like the DS. But I still don't like the way the guy just thinks his opinion is king. What a jackass- one good game or so doesn't entitle you to an exemption to trash-talk.
