It's Official: 40GB PS3 Confirmed For US, 80GB Gets Price Cut

Is the 80 GB model still the Motorstorm bundle? Is the 80 GB model better than my 60 GB one? I heard that the ps2 is software emulated not hardware.(80GB)

This should bring some more people over to the dark side and out of the cartoon....
 
antonichen: Sony stopped production of the 60GB awhile ago. Sony isn't officially cutting the price of the 60GB, but retailers might (after the 40GB launch) if they still have any in stock.

The 80GB model is still the MotorStorm bundle, but it has software PS2 emulation instead of hardware like the 60GB. Hopefully they don't phase out the 80GB model like they did with the 60GB, so people who want backwards compatibility at least have a choice.
 
I believe, the 40GB wont sell as well, why because "No PS2 Backwards compatibility" If u can't play ur old games, and PS2 games are still being made even today. Why buy the 40GB especially when their isn't really any good bench mark or "Exclusive" PS3 games out there yet.
