iTunes Library is OUT OF CONTROL

Okay guys, my iTunes library is absolutely out of control these days, and I need to reorganize it very badly.
See, I have 5,789 songs in my library, and a lot of them are duplicates or missing files. I know about Tidysongs, but that can only 100 songs for free, and I need it to do about 500-600 (probably more).
Are there any free alternatives to Tidysongs (in Mac OSX) that you guys know about?
The only other alternative is backing everything up, and manually going through my music, which is probably going to take all day.

I always find cleaning your music liberty by hand is a good way to rediscover your music. It takes me about 5 hours to clean my ID tags, put album art, remove the dopes, and in basic fix up anything I do it once every 6 months and I have over 17,000 songs.

Whenever that happens to me I just wipe the itunes database and have it re-scan the files, usually does the trick for me.

Winamp has "Auto-tag" which I use to do all of my ID3. Works ok, but sometimes it will label a song wrong. Anyway..

1. Download Winamp
2. Add all of your media into Winamp
3. Highlight all songs. (Ctrl+A)
4. Right click -> Send to -> Auto-tag

Takes a while, but its better than nothing.

Winamp isn't available on mac os x.

I vote for doing it by hand. Google opened up in Safari one side, iTunes on the other.
Good luck.

That's not so bad. I've got around 17-18,000 songs on my computer haha
