Nintendo President Satoru Iwata recently spoke to The Independent and gave his thoughts on stereoscopic 3D graphics. While the Big N's head honcho did say that visual design is an important element of gaming, he also explained that graphics aren't the most important aspect of a game. He then went on to say that while 3D may be incorporated into future Nintendo hardware, it won't necessarily be the main selling point.
"But I think it’s an important element, it makes graphics more impactful, it proves a sense of immersion that 2D doesn’t have, so I would say generally that 3D is better than 2D," said Iwata.
