Hi guys, i was wondering about something... im planning to buy some games soon once they are released (FF dissidia, and persona for psp), and i just use GEN-A to play psX games... so i was wondering, since i havent got a new psp game since the release of firmware 5.51, if when i get those and im in chickhen R2 or GEN-A mode, will they ask for system update? since they are new games and obviously ask for last update to play.

You will have to fake your version usig the 'use version.txt' option in CFWe or GEN. If you are in CFWe, you can simply choose what version to fake

And making that version.txt option will not do anything bad to my psp right? is a 3000 so the flash cant be touched and im being very carefull with what i do xD.

And can this be done with the GEN-A?
 
You will have to touch the flash and put version.txt in VSH/ETC or something like that on GEN .To be safer, try CFWe for version faking which is an option in the settings menu

Thats the one that just got updated to 3.51 right? from DA site, if im gong to change to that one, i need a new chickhen R2? since i did the install thing with the GEN-A
 
Just go back to chickhen (full reboot) and install CFWe on top of GEN. It won't brick or anything, i've done it all the time
