Not exactly. For one this will not require Java at all, it's also a lot heavier on "rolling your own" as heavy customization and plugins are easy to make and use.

Major release this time around, finished the preliminary overhaul of the program and I must say I'm quite proud of it atm :P
Although not ready yet for mass consumption here's the beta 2 for you guys to test out and give feedback on etc.

This is nothing like the first release, I'll re-write the first post soon to reflect this but I'm too lazy for that now.
Quick notes: Some of the customization is in place but I want to fix it up and make it easier, also the options menu doesn't exist yet and volume control isn't there either :blush:. Seeking is funky atm as it playing songs in sequence, sometimes the next function just stops working until refresh. Lastly, only tested on windows so I have no idea how linux will handle it.

Also, what them are you using with Firefox, the one your using looks pretty nice.
 
No shell, just using the Areao theme for XP.

Oh something I always forget, go to includes/db.php and change the login and pass to suit your MySQL setup. I put the default as root for both since that's what I tell people to use when they want to have a little test on their comp.

Edit: Just found out it doesn't work in PHP6, supporting it is not a priority atm.
 
Okay, I have tried for awhile now, but I couldn't get appserv or xampp to work. Is there a good guide anywhere for setting up one of those, then making it work with something like this, chathurga?
 
You know, I suspect this could totally be a replacement for the setup I had using mt-daapd and mediatomb.

Nevermind what I said earlier, this isnt what I thought it was. I was thinking like the WinAmp plugin that lets you stream it to a location and others with WinAmp can listen through the broadcast.

Kudos, will try on the new comp once i build it. My laptop cant support awesome apps made by sexy people atm [you owe me for that shameless compliment btw]
 
Tabs are coming along nicely, should have Beta2.5 out today with playlist tabs and persistent tabs, then after that I'll get working on the options menu and skin building.

Fixed a weird bug that affected some people causing playback to break but not all and also fixed going to the root of a system on linux.
