Magic: The Gathering Extends To XBLA

Leading trading card-maker Wizards of the Coast today announced its plans to extend its vast Magic: The Gathering franchise over to both the Xbox Live Arcade and PC. There are two games planned - one currently in development by Stainless Games for XBLA and the other in the works from Mind Control Software for PC and Mac.

Details on either games are nonexistent, with WotC noting that specific details will be announced at a later date.

I wonder if these games with take after the Magic Online. After the previous MTG game for Xbox (which was utterly horrid in many aspects), I fear the worst. Have to keep to ear out, I'd at least like to see how they turn out.
