Earlier today, Mass Effect 2 developer Bioware announced an in game portal to be used for DLC and game news dubbed 'The Cerberus Network.' The network will be free for all original purchasers of the title via a redemption code that will be included in all game cases. Gamers who opt to pick up the game second hand will have to purchase an activation code for a currently undisclosed fee.

I really wanted to wait to get this second hand after it went to 40$. Depending on how much the DLC costs I'll probably reserve it or get it on launch.

The launch day DLC is free, I probably should have elaborated on that better in the article.

Man I can't decide if I want to get this game on the PC or 360. The PC port of the first one is kind of janky, but... It looks damn smexy.

I'd wait for reviews, but I want to pre-order, and get the inferno armor.

Fuck... That's all I can say.

Save your hard earned cash. It may be released later as DLC.

What would be the point of saving? The game get's released next week and he plans on picking it up. What difference does it make if he puts money down for it today and then picks it up next Tuesday?

Apart from potentially shelling out more cash for the armor as DLC.

Yeah, it's free if I pre-order, and I'm mos def getting this game on launch day, so "saving my money" isn't really an option.

But seriously, look at this...

Shit looks like Iron Man. So awesome.

That's the one that you get when not pre-ordering at Gamestop right? I'm got the Blood Dragon Armor from Dragon Age Origins already and am trying to figure out where to pre-order at the moment since I haven't done it yet.

I know you get it for pre-ordering on most download serverices (Steam, D2D), that's all I really know. I don't know what Gamestop is doing.

I really had no problems with ME1 but the PC version of ME2 won't be a port, which should curb your concerns a bit. It's being handled internally by BioWare. The 360 and PC versions were both developed at the same time.

I pre-ordered this today on Steam. The free DLC on release day sold me.
