Midway announced today that development on its one-on-one superhero mash-up, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, has officially wrapped up. The teen-rated effort is now gold and is slated to hit retail shelves on November 16, with a European release following on the 21st.[blockquote2]"We are proud to release to manufacturing Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, the culmination of two years of effort and a rewarding collaboration with our friends at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics," said Ed Boon, executive producer and co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise. "So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic, and I can't wait to get this into the hands of MK diehards and DC Comics fans alike when the game becomes available on Nov. 16 in North America and Nov. 21 throughout Europe! "[/blockquote2]Tis a shame that awesome Joker fatality was censored in order to keep the T rating. While not entirely cut out, the latter half of the sequence in which Joker fires a second shot will be performed off-screen in the retail version.

<p>Here is how the joker's fatality is done.</p>
<p>The joker pulls out a gun, and points it at his target. He pulls in the trigger a little bit and a flag with the word "BANG" pops out the barrel....</p>
<p>... then he pulls the trigger in all the way and the flag fires out at such a high velocity that it impales the target.</p>
<p>THAT IS HOW THE JOKER DOES IT!</p>
