multi IPL on multiple mem sticks?

I have a pandora battery and a UPT mem sitck. I use another mem stick as my "main" stick and have all my stuff on that stick. I also only have the one battery, so I want ot leave it in service mode, along with my normal mem stick.

Is there a way to just install the multi-IPL onto my regular mem stick, and keep all my stuff on it? I read you have to format it before installing the multi-IPL, so is there anyway around it?

EDIT: Could I just use Time Machine to install the multi-IPL onto my regular mem stick? Would it still function normally with the multi-IPL on it (along with the Pandora battery)?

You shouldn't have to format to install the multi-IPL.

You could also follow the magic memory stick portion of the guide here (no need to do the battery part):

You'll need to format your stick for this though.

@Ash, Just use the UPT installer to put the Multi IPL or TM IPL onto your gaming stick, you can keep your battery in pandora state then.
