Eesh, nah. I'm not too keen on that idea tbh. :p I dunno why, the idea of having people stare at my face while I sit there looking like a lemon just doesn't appeal. lol
 
You can write really well. You've got a nice tech journalism style of writing going on, pretty fun to read. I'd just get the actual wordpress blog looking nicer. Shouldn't be that hard, there are plenty of themes that look good enough for the type of entry blog your going for. Its a pain in the ass trying to make a website looking theme with wordpress though, thats where i'm stuck :(
 
Cheers. :) I'm hoping that this can act as a sort of portfolio. At the moment I am using some default Blogspot theme. I did try customizing but I failed pretty badly. :p

I can do the design myself, that's not a problem. It's just a bit finicky is all. :p

Good luck Moose, I tried out blogging last year and it quickly became a chore to write entries. Keep it up though, looking good so far :)

Yeah, to be honest I can see myself quickly becoming bored, but at the moment I am enjoying it. :)

If anyone can help me with getting a damned search box working where it should obviously be (just look at the blog) then please do!
 
Here's a great idea: put a picture of a moose peeking out right next to the "m". :D

Seriously, though, it looks great. The search bar looks too big though, and I think it would look better a bit closer to ".home".
 
What do you think I could do to remedy that? I know that the actual articles need to be shrunk and I need to add some sort of 'Read More' link to them, it's too cluttered at the moment and looks ugly. I need to add some eye candy to the articles themselves.

Sorry that you don't like my site but you find a name like Mr. Beefy appealing. Also, what does that have to with it being text heavy? Please, I urge you to try as hard as you possibly can next time.
 
Personally, I'm a fan of nice typography. I think you did a pretty good job with that, and there's plenty of popular websites that don't have a problem using a similar layout.

Don't listen to eighty4, your blog is fine. I especially like the width of the text so much I didn't even think about it at first.

I too like your writing style. Keep it up, and I've bookmarked it for future reading :D
