Any criticism is welcome, I'm not going to dismiss eighty4's opinion because it is worth something. I think he is right, I haven't one image on the page other than the ones shown in the articles. I need to add an image or two and spruce up the background a little I think.

you, you are so cool and nonchalant. i envy you. big man over here can dish out criticism but can't take any. also, what makes your opinion any more valid than Clint's?

moose has the right idea. take a look at maddox's site. what brings people back to it? the pretty graphics? no. his writing. the writing should be the focal point of your blog. not how pretty and "clean" it looks, but those characteristics are important too.

Because mine actually aims to improve something rather than keep it the same - thought that was obvious.

Also, the only thing that brings people back to maddox's site is how controversial and sometimes idiotic his posts are. if he simply did what Moose was doing to cover tech, no one would visit.

We can go back and forth all day about this, but I'm not going to.

You instantly got defensive when I brought up a little point about your "blog" after you got done giving some - at first - unconstructive criticism. Instead of actually replying to my comment you attacked my username. Classy. You then proceeded to dismiss Clint's advice because he found the site already appealing, while bringing up the fact that he was 15. Apparently 15 year olds aren't allowed to have opinions.

tl;dr: you are a tool.
 
I have added a little 'Website of the week' box at the top of the page to catch the readers attention. I'm still trying out different things to improve the blog but I haven't found anything that I look that much yet.

Mr. Beefy and eighty4, please stop.
 
Regarding that article on homeplugs: what's the price for those these days? I've used a pair of them a while ago to help network a laptop for someone from the UK who was staying here, it may just be the solution to all of my wifi problems.
 
Besides some horrendous grammar and punctuation errors(to me anyway:)), pretty well done. But I do agree with eighty4. The site is a bit bland. Here are some of Blatte's backgrounds that I think would go well with your site:

A friend lent me a pair of homeplugs he recently bought from max.tv very cheap after they had run out of stock and were no longer manufacturing them. I looked up their specifications and although they are only 14Mbps, they sure perform like 85Mbps beasts. I had been wanting a pair of homeplugs since they became quite the phenomenon over in the UK (and since my friend got them, of course).

Surfing the internet when in the lounge or kitchen has proven quite the annoyance since my router is placed in the front study. Since I got these homeplugs, I have been using the internet on my laptop throughout my home; kitchen, lounge, attic, just name a room and I can get the internet without using a wireless network. So there it is, my new love. I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon enough, but the practicality will not. My parents are rejoicing over the fact that they will now be able to work in the lounge and not in the study like a recluse.

I would most definitely recommend homeplugs to those who are having trouble with wireless connectivity in the home. You will still need a router, and you must make sure the rooms you wish to use the homeplugs in are on the same electrical circuit. If they aren't, they will not work. How they do it is beyond me; probably using some sort of pulse signals through the electric circuits of the home. Whatever they do, it works like a charm!

And the backgrounds are quite erratic. I'm not sure how well they'll fit on your page; test them out and decide for yourself.

I like it. I really can't give much opinion or constructive criticism other than what has already been said (new/nicer layout (background) and the Read More idea is a good one.

Several (if not all) the torrents are dead. If you (or anyone) has the files for 1280 x 1024, can you seed it?

Oh wow, I hadn't noticed. The torrents were updated May 1, so I bet the host is just offline. I'll seed the 1280 x 1024 in about five minutes, I just have to hook up my other hard drive. Keep the torrent open.

Moose you should align that image at the top to the right. It ends at the right with no transition, doesn't look good.
