NeoGeo for PSP

I've got a bit of a pickle.
I've been trying to put a NeoGeo emulator on my PSP and found one called RACE. I got v2.15 and the program runs perfect. But I can't get my roms to work. I've got them in .zip form, and tried them that way, and tried them unzipped. They don't show up unzipped and when RACE tries to load the .zip, is fails.
Would anyone know a reason for that? Is there a file I need for it to run properly?

The same for my MAME emulator, MAME4ALL. It doesn't even find the roms. I'm confused.
