New Screenshots of Pokemon Black and White Released

Japanese Pokemon website has finally published some clear screenshots of the upcoming Pokemon games for the Nintendo DS, Pokemon Black and White. It's safe to say a lot of us have been feeling rather*skeptical*about this transition from 2D to 3D but fear not because the game seems to be shaping up rather nicely (apart from the battle sprites which seem rather pixelated).

Yeah at first I wasn't too sure about it but now I really am sold, I'm looking forward to video footage though.

I agree with the out of battle screens, but honestly I will be more than a little disappointed if the battle screens end up like that in the final version.

It'll probably end up looking not much different (backgrounds might be fixed up, though). Graphics have never been a strong point of the Pokemon franchise.

I dunno, I'm a big fan of the sprite art in the pokemon games and for a handheld system I always thought it was kinda cute.

Yeah, I just mean it never pushed the boundaries in terms of handhand graphics.

Looks like they vastly improved on the battle animations. Much more fluid.

I just saw a new video (I can't find it on youtube yet) but it shows the main guy walking down a street and there seem to be random people that walk around to give the game a more realistic and busy feel (As in people you don't talk to).

Another thing I noticed was if you run into people now they side step and walk around you.
