I know I am asking a noob question but when I create the iso from my umd disk do i just put the iso in the root of the mem stick? or do i have to extract certain files from it to be able to run the iso file?

Maybe the source is simple but it works. Good programs do not require very innovative mind boogling code as long as they work. Same as the CFW loader maybe it uses simple code, but it worked :cool:.

for me, i created a folder named ISO in the root of the mem stick. copied my cso and iso in my ISO folder. Went to the game menu and run my cso/iso game.

press select button in your psp. in the vsh menu that will appear, change the UMD driver from Normal to M33 driver.

agreed be thankful to Davee for the HEN (which we did) and be also thankful to Xenogears and Becus25 for the CFW loader (which we also did).

Now let's wait for the one who will make a CFW loader for PSP 3000 and let also be thankful to him/them ;)

They should have done it directly with tiff exploit and their own kernel exploit..

Though historically for the most part the only thing anyone launched through previous HENs was the 1.50 downgrader and then OE/M33 update maker followed by the installer :/

With R3 it should be as good as CFW minus the ISO loader. So then the only ones who use this are the pirates.
 
I have to ask though:

1. can I revert back to my OFW after installing the CFW?
2. Other than "pirating games" that aren't even available at eb games, what can I use the OFW for?
3. what exactly happens when I switch my psp off, that is, ChickHen gets booted from memory etc ... am I still stuck in CFW?
4. When ChickHen R3 is released, and if I had the CFW installed, will this affect anything in a negative light?


Yes, I am a complete newcomer to the forums (so hello and thanks for the hard work), and a complete newcomer to the whole HEN and cfw thingy on the psp, although I never had the chance to mod my PSP-1000, and when I gave it away to a friend, he modded it in one day (seriously :( ).
 
Dudes I have a BIIIIIIIIIIIG problem....I respected the folder scheme : X:/PSP/GAME/CFW Enabler/EBOOT.PBP but when I enter the Game menu on the PSP it says Corrupted Data...and can't be started ... sry for my noobness

I don't see any problem in improving/adding others' work as long as they are given their due credits. Its in the spirit of homebrew and programming (use and re-use of code) in general.

Now users have a choice between R3 and the CFW loader. Healthy competition and cooperation are good. In the end, psp users are the winner :cool:.

Alek didn't seem to have a problem with it, even posting it on their blog.

Since Davee however was against ISO support, they shouldn't have made his private exploit instrumental in doing so without permission.

just turn off or remove the battery of your psp and it will turn back to OFW. Doing this will erase HEN and CFW and you can begin all over again, i.e, either install HEN R2 with or without CFW loader or HEN R3.
