Newb - Made pandora battery now what?

OK,

I have a PSP-2001 so from what I've read here I should OK to go with the motherboard revision that I have.

I made my MMS using Rami's Lite for 5.00 mm-4 (I think is right). My PSP has OFW 5.0x something and I made my pandora this afternoon.

I made the Pandora but cutting off the one leg of IC on the PCB of the battery.

How do I get my PSP to boot to the MMS?

Some guides say hold L trigger, some say hold R. Neither work, when I try and turn on the PSP with just the pandora it turns on for a sec (just the power LED) then shuts off.

Still boots fine to the OFW with just the AC adapter plugged in?

What am I missing?

Thanks!

1) what firmware did it come with? i think anything higher then 4.01 can be hacked yet, cant remember, some correct me if im wrong
2) is the mms in the psp when you connect the battery?

It came with something under 4; mid 3 range is my guess.

yes the MMS stick is in when I turn on the PSP.

Can I go directly from OFW 5.03 to CFW 5.00 MM-4? Or do I need to go to a lower version first?

Thanks!

yes you can go straight to 5.00m33-6

is your memory stick magic gate supported?
you can check by pressing triangle on memory stick and information i think.

try using pandora deluxe, search it in the downloads section

Yeah it is, I bought the Sony official magic gate pro duo one.

OK will do, does that recreate the MMS? If so are there instructions on how to do so?

No trick on turning on the PSP with the Pandora? You tube videos show it turning on after the battery is in, as if by magic ...

You may have corrupted your battery, that could be why the PSP powers off when the Pandora Battery is inserted, even when there is no MagicStick inserted inside the PSP either.
