While developer Valve has no plans to bring the latest round of Team Fortress 2 content updates over to the PlayStation 3 as it is doing with the Xbox 360, it is considering to ramp up PS3 support in the future, per a recent interview with site 1UP. Despite his architectural disdain for the machine, company co-founder Gabe Newell realizes that the PS3 cannot simply be ignored:[blockquote2]I think we need to do a good job with supporting the PS3 with the Source engine. Our engine licensees would like us to do it. I think we need to invest more in getting that in there. So I think that we'll, over time, be directly more and more supporting the PS3 as our bandwidth allows us to.[/blockquote2]Elsewhere in the interview, Newell once again mentioned that he a "big fan" of the Wii, but as of right now, Valve does not have any projects in development for the platform, due to a lack of bandwidth.
Speaking on Half-Life 2: Episode Three, Newell revealed that the highly-anticipated follow-up will be the "most innovative [installment] in terms of gameplay." No further details on the title were given beyond that, aside from the fact that development is "going well."
