Wii Nintendo confirms 2007 release for major titles

Through recently released financial documents, Nintendo has confirmed that more than a dozen key Wii software titles will be released this year in Japan, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The full list of Wii games due for a 2007 release is as follows, however it is likely some games on the list will slip to 2008 in the US and Europe.


  • Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race (DK Jet or DK Bongo Blast, US)
  • Wii Health Pack
  • Disaster: Day of Crisis
  • Mario Party 8
  • Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
  • Wii Music
  • Super Mario Galaxy
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl
  • Battalion Wars II
  • Forever Blue
  • Mario Strikers: Charged
  • Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
  • Mario and Sonic at the Olympics

hmm...with mario and smash brothers i would have more incentive to get a wii :D
metroid prime 3 would be another....

but at the moment there isnt anything to convince me to part with the money. :\
 
I wish I could have your problem, Menace. Dunno how Wii stock is going in Europe, but here in the US, I can't get a Wii no matter HOW much I want one.

I just hope the titles in that list that I've been anticipating get pushed to 2008 for the US. Though I think it goes without saying for Europe.

I just don't get it. If they worked on translating the games into Spanish, French, German etc at the same time the English is being worked on for the US *and* Europe, then Europe wouldn't have to wait several months.

For games of japanese origin, I suppose it'd be easier to translate to other languages using the english translation, but I still think that's kinda lame, and I don't even live in Europe. O.o

haha,well,having lived in europe all my life i've just gotten used to the waits.

although it works both ways to with europe and the US getting games before japan. :P

thats why at the moment i just have my psp and ds and import off ebay :D
