While the introduction of Nintendo's third DS hardware revision, the DSi, hasn't made quite the splash in Japan as its predecessor did, it's still selling quite well. And that's being modest. According to raw sales figures from Famitsu parent Enterbrain, the handheld managed to edge past the coveted half-million mark during November. Comparatively, 550,000 DS Lite units were sold in the first month of its introduction.
And what else does this data tell us? Well, Nintendo is firmly on track to reaching its goal of getting multiple DS units in each household. To date, Japanese sales the DS brand as a whole have reached 24,239,590 units.
