Earlier this week it was revealed on IGN's podcast that Nintendo was limiting WiiWare games to only 40MB. However, that's not exactly true, according to a Nintendo spokesperson.
Speaking to GI.biz, the spokesperson clarified IGN's claims by stating that the 40MB number is not a cap, but merely a suggestion.
[blockquote2]I can confirm as we originally said at the announcement of the WiiWare service earlier in the year that WiiWare games will come in a range of sizes but we will encourage smaller, more compact games for the service.[/blockquote2]In addition, Nintendo said it is considering to impose a one game release per month rule on all licensed developers during the launch window.
