Seems a popular rumor floating around today is that Epic plans to show off a tech demo of Gears 2 at E3 2007. Not true - rumor has been officially debunked. Epic Games' Mark Rein personally commented on the matter:

Did you see the update we just did for Gears of War last week? We're still working on the first one.[/blockquote2]
There you have it. No Gears of War 2 at E3 2007. Am I surprised? No.
