i have a psp 3.10OE-A and talking about bricking due to fw downgrade. If the psp is broken, by placing the recovery file in the M.S or if there is an existing file. and holding on to R-Button and boot up. will that helps or need a U.P?

Run program at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP - This will recover your PSP if it has been semi-bricked. More information on how to recover is listed further down in http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=psp&thread.id=2819738
