Nothing is going to come out of the exploit anyways. Is there anyone even capable of making it usable that wants to?

People freaked out so much back then. And then there was always the bug reports with M33 and a bunch of people claiming that DA's firmwares were stabler. I wonder what they thought when he announced they were one and the same.
 
What worries me is that people still think piracy is not a issue ON THE PSP. That's why there is always a naive fool that'll make a CFW someway

I was on #psp when it released and I went ahead and flashed it despite warnings from some devs that were ops on the channel. When they found out it worked, they were.. surprised, to say the least.
 
Question!!! Can the people with 6.20 and the unblocked version of the game run the exploit?

No because 5.03 also had a user and kernel exploit but no permanent CFW.

Why are you so sure? According to this post everyone with PSPGO and soft below 6.0 could hack their console if someone will release a HEN based on kernel mode exploit sources provided by Mathieulh. Even if Sony would fix the problem by completely removing this game from PSS there are still a lot of people with PSP3000 and higher OFW than 5.03 that would be interested in HEN based on this exploit - you can still buy Mercury in online shops and don't forget that PSP3000 is selling better than GO ;)

I'm not sure that releasing the HEN is a good idea (just see the reaction of pirates for Team Typhoon news) although I think this exploit can't be called useless as long as the game is still available on PSS or online stores.

edit: I have missed one thing :blushing: PSP GO and 3000 users with OFW higher than 5.03 can't buy even the patched mercury without updating to 6.20...
