Whats up guys I tryed to use my pandora's and universal v3 into a psp and guess what happend?? LOL let me explain.....

1.- I used pandora's v3 and it stopped on "formatting Flash1...."

example:

Loading updater modules........OK
Formatting flash0.....OK
Formatting flash1.....

and it does not pass from there and shuts off the psp

2.- I tried pandora's 1.50 downgrader too and this is what it shows

example:

the aggreement message comes up, i press x an it shows this

Formatting flash0... done
Formatting flash1... done
Formatting flash2... done
Format OK - continuing in a moment....

then

Loading psar to ram..... done.
Version 1.50
Creating directories..... done.
Writing ipl.... done
Writing files 100%
Updating registry.....cannot write system.dreg

and it shuts off the psp

I turned the psp on and the blue screen that says "Setting information is corrupted. Press O to repair and restore default settings."

I pressed O and it restarts to the same blue screen again and again and again each time i press O.

any help or information about this problem???

I used my both pandora's 1.50 and universal v3 on another PSP and it does fine.

Refer to THIS post here and see if you have a fake memory stick.
I got this before when i used a fake one.

You checked it?
I bought one from sony's store and it was a fake.
the clerk didn't even know.

hahaha I tried another memory "new" purchased at target 256mb sandisk pro duo wanna see my receipt??? :w00t:  joke

same problem though.

I followed the guide correctly like 4 times and i tried the unbrick on another psp and it is working on the other but this one still doing the same.

have you had this problem before??

I have a solution for you but...I am a bit too busy to post it today. Possibly tomorrow.

Sorry for leaving you hanging, but I wanted to give you hope, at least.

I believe situations like this warrant double posting, so I will.

Problem(s):
Pandora stops writing/is unable to write to flash1 (read: system.dreg).

Possible cause(s):
The issue(s) outlined above are most likely due to a corrupted flash (in lamens terms).

Possible Solution(s):

Before any flashing solution is provided, a disclaimer should be stated, so here's one:

Disclaimer: By following the advice written herein by "EvilSeph" or another eXophase.com representative, you agree that no other party - which include eXophase.com, eXophase.com representatives and staff, and cory1492 - may be held responsible for loss or damages that may occur as a result of following the advice provided.

If you are not an above average PSP user then you may want to not proceed. I repeat, if you do not know what you are doing, I advise you to NOT proceed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Solution 1:
Download cory1492's Cleaned NAND dump here.

Take a few minutes to read its respective readme/documentation BEFORE proceeding.

Use Pandora or Universal v3. to flash the NAND dump to your PSP. DO NOT FLASH WRITE TO IDSTORAGE.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Solution 2:
Download jas0nuk's ELF menu 0.2a for Pandora/Despertar_Cementario v3 (w/full hw ident) here.
Download cory1492's nandTool v0.2 here.

Take a few minutes to read their respective readmes/documentation BEFORE proceeding.

Replace ms0:/kd/resurrection.elf on your magic memory stick with the one included in jas0nuk's ELF menu release, so the PSP loads it when you insert the Pandora battery & memory stick, and it shows a list of ELFs inside the ms0:/elf folder (it will give a warning and shutdown if the folder doesnt exist or there are no ELFs inside it).

Place cory1492's nandTool into ms0:/elf.

Run cory1492's nandTool using jas0nuk's ELF menu that should now boot up instead of the original Pandora menu.

Hopefully my instructions were clear enough to follow and this fixes your problem.

If not, reply and we'll keep at it. :)

for Solution 1 it doesn't say what or where to put the file Solution 1: clean_part_fatpsp.flash
can someone plz tell me?
My FAT PSP won't turn on or go to recovery menu. and tried using Pandora but stops at flash1 and turns off.

A read me should be included.

TBH i would use solution 2, as pointed out i think you need to re-partion Lflash.

This is why you are stuck.

Follow the link in his post, although NANDtool 0.4 is released now - Same tool, just newer.
