Plugins for Pops?

Are there any useful plugins for Pops? Like save states or screen modes or something? There's a save state plugin for PSP games--I can't imagine why one hasn't been developed for ps1 games yet, considering it's an emulator to begin with... (well, I guess I can imagine--it's hard to do somehow)

CWCheat has a POPS version, though not many games are supported.

you can already do that with a tv out cable. PS1 games are in fullscreen as well

The one I've found most useful is a version of popsloader, so I can change the pops firmware version at the bootup of the ps1 game. It's the only way I've found to play FF IX properly with sound on the first FMV (version 3.71 or 3.72 works iirc).

with a composite TV-out cable when you boot a PSP game it will just switch back to the PSP's screen unless you have fusa active.

I know POPS is already on the PSP 3000 but does anyone know what version of POPS is bulit into the 3000s?

Use cm fusion r 21c, it has a cheat module for psx games, real save states and loads of other helpful things. And it supports the use of cw cheats cheat.db and popscheat.db. And you can activate usb from where you want (ingame, etc.) It has a screenshot-tool and a txt reader.

I can't give you link since it not allowed here but google eboots files made by a person named Hako PSX eboots made by this person I have to found to be pretty good and work when other ones would not.

That's kind of strange since I'm pretty sure the 5.03 pops version should work fine....

Anyways your solution is that you have to get a GEN compatible version of popsloader (there might even be one included with GEN firmware, I have no idea). This will allow you to load previous firmware versions of pops. Most of the early versions like 3.71, etc should work fine.

While that does sound very awesome (the save states are what I really care about), this scares me quite a bit:

Savestates: in PSP and POPS games, although it may break your PSP because it saves and loads more than just the ram, however, there's an option to shutdown your PSP after loading a state to prevent bricking, I am not sure how it works however.

Yup, I'd avoid save states if I could get it (or any of the cheat plugins) to work.
