The 21st is for retail only I think, Steam is getting it the 18th, at least in North America.
 
Tackled? What?

On topic though I'm looking forward to this hoping it will last longer than the first one because I honestly thought the full game was just training levels till I discovered I'd cleared it.

Haven't seen anything officially saying it will be coming out on the 18th for Steam - I know it was coming out the week of the 18th but haven't found anything to suggest the 18th and then 21st for retail-only. Guess it's in how you read the press release which was:

EA Partners, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced an agreement with Valve to distribute Portal 2 in retail channels .

Yeah, I was going by the unlock date on Steam.. perhaps it's not up to date though. I'll email Valve and see if I can get an answer.
