Here's my update setup, now sporting a Dell 3007WFP-HC 2560x1600 is massive, can read three Word documents side by side. Expensive but one of the best purchases I made hands down. The clarity of this screen is simply amazing compared to my old Samsung 220WM and since it is an IPS panel, the colors stay the same at different angles.

Haha, yeah I cleaned it up before I put the monitor on, was rather messy before. Doubt I'll be able to keep it like this for long :p

The drink is black cherry soda :)

Ah very nice, glad to see you've got a working model now :) I thought my 24" was a beast but apparently not ;) I'm not going any bigger than 24" because I don't want to mess up my sensitivity in my games too much, the bigger I go the worse I get with aiming since I've gamed on my 19" monitors for a few years now

Yeah, takes some time to get used to 2560x1600. I'm probably going to have to step up to a better graphics card as running games at this res really makes my HD4670 struggle.

Nothing bigger than 22" for me until I can afford an Asus Mars or a GTX285 Tri-SLi setup. I don't believe in play games on "medium" or anything short of maxed out settings with 4xAA 16xAF at the native resolution.

Fortunately you guys needn't invest in a UPS. If we didn't have so many power failures and fluctuations here I could have got something better instead of blowing a third of my budget on an 800w UPS.

Shirley Manson? I don't have her on my wall... the red head on my wall is the model that was in the lyric book for Atreyu's second album, The Curse. Very hot lady...more so than Shirley Manson at least IMO.


Saying that, Shirley was very good as a T-1000 in the Sarah Connor Chronicles :D

The combo may be silly but I didn't buy it primarily for gaming. I needed an IPS panel for color critical tasks as I do a lot of web design and graphics work. There's 24" IPS panels, but the cheapest one is around $500. I decided to step up to a 30" as it was not much more. Anyway it will be paired with a decent card once I build a new setup in the fall. Waiting for the DX11 cards.
