Detailed yesterday morning, PS3 firmware 3.15 is now live, available for download from Network Update. It brings two major additions to the table, granting the ability to play PSP Minis on PS3 and also introducing one-click data transfer solution that beams PSN content across a pair of PS3s connected via LAN. Due to certain regulations, we're told that copy protected save game files will not transfer over, so keep that in mind.

The full changelog is after the jump.[...]

1. Turn both the current PS3 (A) and new PS3 (B) on and connect them with a LAN cable; PS3 (A) should be connected to the TV. Please note, firmware (v3.15) must be installed on both systems.

Wait so if you have 2 PS3's...you can share content?

You can do this anyway, just d/l stuff on the 2nd PS3 as well.

This, however, saves you the 2nd d/l.

What I don't know (yet), it states the content gets deleted on the 1st PS3 - I hope this deletion is optional (like when copying PSP content to a PSP, it asks if you want to delete it after the copy process).
If you can't avoid the deletion on PS3 A, this function is useless to me (and I think many others).

From what I've gathered it does delete all the content automatically after moving it over to the second unit :/ Probably due to licensing reasons. Still useful for people who are a buying a new PS3 then getting rid of the old one though.

This could be the greatest update ever if it fixes the bluetooth sync issues I've been having since February. Thanks, Sony.

As far as I know, most minis don't even work at this point.

Next week, Sony is going to re-upload the minis to the PS Store, but this time with PS3 Compatibility.

Of course, you'll have to re-download.
