PS3 Ps3 worth buying?

I been thinking about it for while about picking up a ps3.
But what features make the ps3 worth the buy?
What games should I pick up?
(I already have call of duty4-5,I am going pick up metal gear solid either way if I get ps3)

Tell me he pros and cons thx

Pros-Tacos

Cons-Cupcake

And decent game list I should buy or look into, games that are ps3 only.

I've always liked my PS3 but since I modded my 360 I havn't been on it for a while but:

Pros:
-Media(Movie support, internet browser etc)
-Free online
-Frequent updates
-Can use linux

Cons:
-No in-game chat
-No in-game music
-Lag has gotten better but still there

Uncharted 2 is coming out, I suggest you get that.
Also God of War 3

In game music is kind of there. A lot of the recent games support it, but it's not universal.

I think everyone should own a PS3 and a 360. There are enough features and games on either to warrant a purchase.

Star Ocean 4(JP Version,Comes with Fully translated English voices)

Dose the Slim plays ps2 games? My ps2 broke on me, and I still have kingdom hearts and few other games I want to play.

For Uncharted 1 im going borrow my friend copy.

Nope. None of the PS3's that you can buy brand new play PS2 games.

You'll have to get a Second hand 60GB or 20GB PS3 from launch to play PS2 games.

There was some leaked document about there going to be a software emulator for current PS3s to enable them to play old PS2 games, not sure what came out of it though.

That was about PS2 (and Dreamcast) games on the PSN store. There was no mention of PS2 games on discs working with it.

What he ment to say was there is no cross-game voice chat( aka partys) however there is chat on online games..
