PSP 3000 and CFW

I just wanted to double check before buying a PSP 3000.

Can i update to Custom Firmware as long as they are 5.03 OFM or below ?

and is there any chance to brick it if upgrading to GEN-A?

what firmware does PSP 3000 usually come with?

Will it be able to run backup Isos?

Can i update to Custom Firmware as long as they are 5.03 OFM or below ? Not CFW but you can use a CFE (custom firmware enabler) but only if your psp has 5.03 or can update to that. Anything higher and No.

and is there any chance to brick it if upgrading to GEN-A? Technically no, but any app or prog that needs to access flash0 has the potential to i.e lockdown app, to name one.

what firmware does PSP 3000 usually come with? Whatever it was shipped with. Out of the factory it will come with the highest OFW there is.

Will it be able to run backup Isos? If you use ChickHEN and a CFE or GEN Fw on 5.03 - otherwise no.
