A new PSP firmware actually worth talking about? Yes! A huge update is set to hit the PSP on December 18, Sony Japan announced today. Firmware 3.80 includes two features, the first of which is support for the Japan-only 1seg (TV Tuner) peripheral. Secondly the update will include internet radio functionality, as well as upgraded RSS capabilities and the ability to search video clips by scene.

It's great to hear that Sony is packing some worthwhile features into firmware 3.80. While support for the TV Tuner peripheral will undoubtedly be Japan-only, we're hoping that the internet radio feature makes it over to other regions.

Hmmm.... sounds like another homebrew application that I know of... *cough* PSP Radio *cough cough*

I guess PSP Radio is dead unless they can add features which this app cannot do... like recoridng live streams.

doubt it, from what I can gather it only plays internet stations $ony wants. With PSP radio you can play any station on the net if you make playlists.

Isn't PSP Radio dead anyway? I found out about it a few months ago, but never could get it to work. When I checked out the forums, it seemed like it was a dead project. Does anyone have it working on latest firmware versions?

It works great on my slim PSP with 3.71M33 on it.
