Psp Pandora help!

Hi

I have been reading forums for a few hours now, I am sorry if my questions have already been answered here i have tried my best to find out but i keep getting two different answers and getting confused so here is my question:

I have a Fat Psp 1000
256 mb magic gate pro duo memory stick
One Sony 3.6v 1800 mAh battery

My psp is running official sony firmware 3.51.

Am i able to create a pandora battery to enable me to downgrade my psp so i can use custom firmware and then reverse the pandora battery so i can use it again normally?

Also my other question, when making the pandora battery can this all be done through software or do i need to change hardware with soldering iron etc.

Thanks very much for any help!

when making the battery you can do both. but you can only do the software version on 1.50 or cfw. yes you can switch back n forth but i advise to get a SPARE battery and and memory stick just case summit goes wrong in a update u can fix it and your not stuck

you can make the magic memory stick with pandora deluxe

you can make the magic memory stick with pandora deluxe

Ok, so it can be done but safer to have 2 batterys, i will puchase another battery in the future just not right now, thanks for the help,

Also will i have to open up the battery to make it a pandora battery like change the hardware for it to work and i will need a soldering iron? I have read one guide that didn't mention having to alter the hardware but do i need to? Thanks.

Whether you have to hard mod is dependant on the mobo version of your PSP. Any Phat psp is fine for soft modding batteries but only the first slim can do so.

Hardmodding usually involves removing the leg on the EEprom, No soldering is required as i am aware. (i have never hardmodded a battery b4)

Hey ok thanks so much for the reply :) So there could be a chance i can softmod the battery and reverse it so battery is reversible however i had already ordered a paradox battery now lol, is there an easy way to find out the motherboard of my psp? Thank you :)

once you have CFW you can check mobo. anything other than a ta-085 mobo and you cannot soft mod a battery

the daxter slim is more than likely to be either a ta-085v2 (revision that blocked the creation of a pandora via the psp) or a Ta-088.

actually i have a ta-86 mobo and i can soft mod them, i just installed a 1.50 k addon and it work

Hey alex_e, if you're new to this forum, press the Edit button under your post when you wanna add something, don't double or triple post. It's kinda annoying.

oooooooooooooooooookay, sorry about that, my apologies to all.
