The folks over at AcidMods have put together a video showcasing their latest PSP modification masterpiece, the Razor Nub. The work is a collaborative effort between the mod master F00 f00, Cyberpyrot, and Neubit. The premise is simple.. to add on a second analog stick by the power switch, allowing you to control your games with dual analog sticks, much like the original PS2 dual shock controller.

Cyberpyrot notes that the mod is soon to be produced but they are just waiting on the proto PCBs from Neubit. In the meantime, take a look at this video below.

i'm guessing it doesn't actually add a second analog nub more so than be just a replacement for the triangle, square, circle and x buttons really. since ghost in the shell uses those for side step and stuff.

I bet it would help Katamari Damacy feel much more natural as well!

ahh its cool as hell! i really dont wana drill a hole in my psp case to install that :( sony should just rerelease psp's with FW 1.50 and a extra nub :)

In the unlikely event of a water landing...

I think the extra nub would be a good and reasonable addition... but seeing as how Sony has spent the last two years trying to prevent people from exploiting and downgrading the PSP I think there's a better chance of all of us winning the lottery in our respective states/countries than Sony rereleasing the PSP with 1.50 firmware.

i like those odds ;)

haha, nah seriously it would make more sense for Sony to make a OFFICIAL firmware with homebrew support than to re-release 1.5 psp's.....but again the chances of that are really high....although i think that it MIGHT happen....but its still really unlikely
