anyone got R-Gear working on their PSP?...i'd download it from dcemu HERE but can't get it to start,it just turns off the PSP when i select it from the menu.

any ideas anyone?...i don't think it is malware since it doesn't seem to do anything to flash and there is actual material in the folders, just think it mightn't be compatible on 3.40 OE :(

Not quite...

No, I get the same exact symptoms on a 3.40OE-A and a 3.10OE-A'...

it works for me but I think the game only loads from the GAME folder.

so you need to go into recovery mode and set the game folder kernel to 1.5

nice game btw

yea but the game is probably hardcoded to load files from the game folder. most other homebrew apps just use relative paths, so it works from either folder.

so a good idea would to be get the source and redo the paths to make them relative?....would want to implement an option to skip the intro too....haha,high inspirations for someone who hasnt coded anything for PSP though. :\

EDIT:just looked and don't think the source is available....pity :(

Clearity.

Ahhh, so it was made specifically for 1.50, not OE...
Suppose we could have figured that out if we had read the comments on DCEmu.
Thanks as always x3sphere!

actually i just looked through all the comments on DCEmu and there was 1.5 users having trouble and also it never mentioned OE software....

its a pity i cant find the source,i would love to have a chance to pick through it :(

i'm guessing though that since it was written specifically for v1.5 that it may use a hex reference that points to a memory location used by OE and thats why it crashes...maybe... :\
