Hello ! I like this app but I could not get my "CAT_Iso" Folder to work. I moved a few iso there but could not see them on psp. Also Could I remove or hide the uncatergorised folder ?
The other folders I created work fine. Thanks in advance :)

CAT_ISO should go here:

x:/ISO/CAT_ISO/game1.iso

where "x" is the drive letter of your PSP and "game1" is the name of your game.

The uncatergorised folder disappeared.
Love this App. It jus looks alot cleaner now in the game section :)

Hello peoples! As you can see I am new here, nice to meet all of you. I will post a formal intro later.
At this moment, I would like to solve a problem I am having with this app. I tried to solve it on another forum I visit, the admin tried to help me, but did not know what was wrong so I was directed to this forum.

Here's my situation:
PSP: 1000
FW: 5.50GEN-B

This is what I wrote orignally there:
I installed it properly, put the files into seplugins and checked that they were enabled under the recovery menu. I hook it up to the PC and make some categories with the prefix "CAT_" before the name of the folder. I put the files I want to be in that category into the folder I made (Bookr and PSPtube). Then I exit out to see if it worked. The category is there, but the files inside are all corrupt. When I go into the folder again on my PC, the files inside the folder are gone, but the space they took up is still there. Maybe this program does not run as advertised on 5.50 GEN or GEN-B at least. Anyone have similar problems or know how to fix this?

Note. I put the categories into the folders where the apps/games are on the stick for instance ms0:/PSP/GAME/CAT_Apps/Bookr

Here's a little more info:

Say I have five items on my MS. Two are apps. I put those apps in a category folder I created. Well, when I look in the category in the XMB, there seem to be 5 items in it all showing up as corrupt. I am able to delete all of the corrupt files except two. When I look at the Uncategorized MS, all of my files are gone, including the ones I did not put in the category. As for the two corrupt un-deletable files in the category which I presume are the two apps I put in, do not show up in that folder when connected to a PC.

I'd suggest formatting your Memory Stick. That sounds a lot like a filesystem corruption issue.
 
Check to see if your Memory Stick is genuine or not. When formatting, do a full format on the PC instead of using the PSP.

Also, try to transfer your apps and homebrew to your memory stick to see if any of them got corrupted at the end in the XMB without using the categories plugin.

My memory stick is genuine. I have formatted the MS many times.

None of the files are actually corrupt. The only thing the categories seem to do is display what I have on my memory stick (ISO's. apps, etc.) as corrupted files in that category, even if I did not put those files into that category folder.

I have also formatted Flash1 and reset it to default settings. It just refuses to run the app properly. I have done everything short of reflashing CFW to it...

If it matters, this PSP is sporting the original TA-079v1 motherboard

just one question, is there any way to change the "Uncategorized" label anywhere?

i'm running cfw 3.60 on a psp 3000 and for whatever reason if my system gets reset i have to move the CFW enabler out of it's "corrupted data" folder via USB after I use chickHEN as it won't read the cwf 3.60 eboot in my "CAT_Custom Firmware" where it is located once cfw is loaded.

basically i want to have all my cfw enabler/loaders left in the psp/game folder but rename "uncategorized" to "custom firmware" and put everything else in their own respective categories....

You could make a translation file called game_categories_ja.txt, which is the English one (I swapped the language codes by accident) and change the text there.

Thanks for info! Now I got my translation working (and hexedited and swapped ja and en).

ahhhh that's why! i did copy the _en.txt to the plugins folder and changed uncategorized to custom firmware, reset my psp but it didn't change anything. i'll try _ja.txt, hopefully it works, but even if it doesn't again it's really a small small personal issue which takes nothing away from a great plugin, thanks again!


EDIT: didn't read the post above mine, confirming it works, it does! i got it changed on mine as well. :)
 
Sorting Feature

Great plugin, some time ago I was wondering for something like this. I was about to ask for a sorting feature but I have read all the tread and someone did it already.

Thanks for this one.
