Hello peoples! As you can see I am new here, nice to meet all of you. I will post a formal intro later.
At this moment, I would like to solve a problem I am having with this app. I tried to solve it on another forum I visit, the admin tried to help me, but did not know what was wrong so I was directed to this forum.

Here's my situation:
PSP: 1000
FW: 5.50GEN-B

This is what I wrote orignally there:
I installed it properly, put the files into seplugins and checked that they were enabled under the recovery menu. I hook it up to the PC and make some categories with the prefix "CAT_" before the name of the folder. I put the files I want to be in that category into the folder I made (Bookr and PSPtube). Then I exit out to see if it worked. The category is there, but the files inside are all corrupt. When I go into the folder again on my PC, the files inside the folder are gone, but the space they took up is still there. Maybe this program does not run as advertised on 5.50 GEN or GEN-B at least. Anyone have similar problems or know how to fix this?

Note. I put the categories into the folders where the apps/games are on the stick for instance ms0:/PSP/GAME/CAT_Apps/Bookr

Here's a little more info:

Say I have five items on my MS. Two are apps. I put those apps in a category folder I created. Well, when I look in the category in the XMB, there seem to be 5 items in it all showing up as corrupt. I am able to delete all of the corrupt files except two. When I look at the Uncategorized MS, all of my files are gone, including the ones I did not put in the category. As for the two corrupt un-deletable files in the category which I presume are the two apps I put in, do not show up in that folder when connected to a PC.

Try shortening the folder path name
Ms0:/PSP/Games/Cat_Apps/Bookr works because it is under the sony character limit try experimenting with the length of the path

First bubbletune: thanks for your awesome plugin . In my favourite plugin list it is in the first plugins so much it is useful.

I am new on this forum, because in fact I am from PSPgen Forums and I go here to tell about a bug what I meet:

I has install the gamecategorie v4 plugin in my PSP and it work good but when i use plugin2flash (a homebrew who permit to instal plugin directly in the flash0) gamecategory look like work normaly (all categories was show) but in all categorie what i have created the same categorie(list of homebrew) was show: the uncategorised categorie.

Do you have any solution for this problem?

Have you read the readme.txt? Run the program once and
Create vsh.txt/game.txt/pops.txt in flash0:/seplugins and fill them the same way as ms0 plugins, but change the path to flash0

Or try manually adding the plugin to pspbtjnf.bin, pspbtknf.bin, and pspbtlnf.bin using PSPBTCNF Tool v3 by manatails007, and not having a copy of categories enabled in seplugins folder. And don't forget to add V to the end of the entry.

That's how I got it to work on my PSP 2K.
 
Hey Bubble congrats on the awesome mod bro, I LOVE IT. Just one thing I was thinking, cause being as ocd as I am everything has to match and be the same and all that bullshit.

If you can make the psp create context menus for the categories, do you think you could rewrite the plugin to make the psp create a full context list all the way down to actually excuting a homebrew or game?

Something like:
------------------- (category) --------------------------------------------------------------
Games/Memory Card/Psp Games/Game Title
............................................Game Title
............................................Game Title
............................................Game Title
............................................Game Title x How ever many Games I have

I dont want it to show me any Game backgrounds/icons/animations/sounds

Just Text!

I use Mandingo's technique and it work.
(I have a problem with the translation but I find the solution: the translation.txt work when i put it in the really plugin folder ms0:\...).

I have one other question Mandingo:
How many plugins can we put in the flash0 with your program?
(I know in ms0\seplugin... we only put 5 by section:vsh,game... and with plugin to flash i think we aren't limited).
 
Found a bug with 5.50 GEN. When trying to delete any search entry under "Internet Search", the PSP freezes as soon as you press triangle. I made sure it was just this plugin that was doing it by disabling all others besides this one and pinpointed it.

The search entries that freezes with any are here in the XMB. They can still be deleted by deleting the history"x".dat in PSP/SYSTEM/BROWSER:

I have this problem to :( I was going to post about it on QJ but I guess Bubbletune already knows :P... I tested on 5.50 GEN-B2 with all plugins disabled except Game Categories and using the default XMB theme (no CXMB/PTF).

It not my program, but I have 7 plugins enabled in vsh.txt with no problems :D. I guess it allows you to use plugins form ms0:/ at the same time too.

Plugin to flash uses different technique and I don't think there are any limits how many plugins you can load with it but memory limitations.

Yeah, small bug which I found and fixed a while ago, but it was not worth doing an update just for that. If it's really important to people I might consider to release a quick fix.

Changelog states:

Order of your categories is now calculated from their modification time instead of randomly.

Does it applies to Uncategorized too? I would like it to be listed at the end of my own categories. Is that possible? I tried changing modification time of uncategorized folders but it keeps being listed the first one.
