Homebrew coder junkfactory has released a another useful plugin for the PSP. The homebrew shortcuts plugin beta 1 for M33 is a custom firmware plugin that allows users to assign key combinations to launch their favorite homebrews from the XMB.

What does it do?

By configuring shortcuts.conf, you can assign virtually all (well depends on how many combinations you can make and your fingers can handle) your homebrew apps, ISO/CSO game or the UMD game or even pops games (not tested) to any combination of buttons you choose. Then from the XMB, you push those combinations and hopefully the assigned homebrew/game starts. No more XMB navigation.

To install the plugin:

* Download the package
* Extract them to your ms0:/seplugins folder
* Read the notes in shortcuts.conf file (this is very important otherwise you will not get it to work if not configured correctly) and configure/assign keys to your apps/games.
* Put this like in your vsh.txt ms0:/seplugins/homebrew_shortcuts.prx 1
* Push the buttons and watch your homebrew run

the xmb's better rather than seeing a lot of ms-dos-like-figures XD

also, bubbletune's game categories revised is soooooooooooooo good! XD

IMO this things USELESS

2 - 4 keypress can run a homebrew immedietly... you really dont need to assign keys to run favorite homebrews.. lol it will complicate things really

for one you need to remember what keys was that for a certain homebrew.. like someone assigned keys for 10 hombrews try remembering all those short cut keys LOL... but there is a easier process by pressing couple X's and down key vwala homebrew on LOOL!!
 
There's no point discussing the up- or downsides of such a plugin.

If one finds it usefull, he will download and use it.
If one does not find it usefull, please skip ahead to the next thread, no need to state that you don't need it.

Please keep this discussion productive, i.e. if you have a reason why you don't like it (in a sense of "hint on how to enhance it / make it better / more usefull") you're welcome to post it, but no simple "useless, won't use it".
