Remote Joy with 3.72??

Will remote joy work with version 3.72? all the youtube tutorials etc ihavecome across say it only works with 3.71 but does that mean only that version? or 3.71 is the lowest version it will work with so it WILL with 3.72??
 
Official 3.72 or custom firmware 3.72 HX? It definitely won't work on official 3.72.. as for 3.72 HX your best bet is to just try it. It may or may not work.
 
well i would get it from the official psp website. i just didnt really want to get it if remotejoy isnt going to work with it.
I dont know why psp official site doesnt give any other download apart from the latest 3.72 :confused1:
 
Well, thats because Sony doesn't support homebrew on the PSP.You need to have a custom firmware. Eg:3.71 M33, 3.52 M33 or 3.40 OE-A.
If you want to install a custom firmware say it here and I will help you.


PS:Are you using the official 3.72?
 
I have tried to get 3.71 but the installations have failed with a "game could not be started" error, and the same with 3.52.
I want 3.71 but have read that i need 3.52 in order for it to work.

..system info tells me im running 2.81 atm.

Well, thats because you need to be on 1.50 firmware, you can downgrade with Pandora's Battery (another PSP with a Custom Firmware required), 3.03 exploit (an unpatched version of GTA:Liberty City Stories required (very rare to find)) or the 3.50 exploit (an unpatched version Lumines required (a little bit rare)).Choose one.:smile:

yes, an unpatched version of Grand Theft Auto:Liberty City Stories.The unpatched version comes with the 2.00 upgrade, the patched version comes with the 2.60 upgrade.Or try to get an upatched version of Lumines, the unpatched version comes with the 1.50 upgrade, the patched version comes with the 3.50 upgrade.

Relax dude, chance of bricking is one out of one-gazillion. As long as you follow the steps carefully nothings gonna be wrong.

I've flashed firmwares on my PSP for over 50 times, and I've bricked..... ZERO times.

So you'll be fine. ;)
 
OK i got to load step 5, it started loading, but just carried on and loaded the game, it didnt go black/light blue or restart,any ideas?
 
just making sure, is the UMD include 2.00 firmware update or a 2.6/2.71?

what you should do though is backup your game saves, your music, video, etc onto your computer,
format your memory stick then proceed with this downgrade.

and the HEN (which step five is activating) doesn't success everytime. give it a few more tries. ;)
 
you know where you select to play UMD on the main screen? under the "UMD" icon and above the "memory stick" icon there's a place where it says "Update v.X.y"
