PSP Remote Play with CFW

I tried to sync my PS3 and PSP for remote play but I keep getting an error when I try to actually connect the two. The connection always times out

Is this because im using a non OFW?

All signs point to yes but id hate myself for assuming something that wasnt the case.

Yeah, you have to be on the latest firmware to use remote play.

I've noted in the past that even if you have a CFW that matches with the latest OFW, it still won't work, but Dan is correct.
