As the onslaught of news from E3 2011 just begins to settle down, rumors surrounding next year's show emerge. Citing a "high-placed" source within Crytek, VideoGamer reports that Microsoft is poised to announce its next-generation hardware at E3 2012.

I'm completely ready for another generation of consoles. A concern of mine would be how games would be developed for the 360 and whatever is next though. If new hardware is announced at 2012 E3 with a 2013 launch or holiday 2012 launch, there's no way Microsoft will retire the 360 anytime soon after that launch.
