Surprise! Konami has an answer to Rock Band and Guitar Hero, it's called "Rock Revolution." Announced last night during the company's press event in San Francisco, the rhythm-based game will ship out this fall for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with the promise of having the "most realistic drum peripheral on the market at launch."
A Nintendo DS and Wii version is also planned for a release in fall, but will not include any additional peripherals. Instead, the Wii iteration will have players using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to hit musical notes, while the DS edition utilizes the stylus.
It's yet to be determined if the included six-pad drum accessory will be compatible with Guitar Hero IV and Rock Band.
