While Sony has briefly touched on PS3-Vita connectivity in the past, slides from a recent Develop presentation headlined by SCEE R&D manager Phil Rogers further expand on the concept.
Sony says the toolset it is providing to developers will allow them to drive the Vita display direct from a PS3 game, "use the unique features of PS Vita as a control device for a PS3 game," and "run software on both devices, using the network to sync game states." Interestingly, the last approach relies entirely on the Vita's wealth of processing power, offloading any busy work from the PS3.
