PSP Skype usb mode?

i went onto skype on my psp 3000 today, just as i usually would, only i happened to have my usb cord plugged in, and then the moment skype loads my account, my computer starts bringing up the "new hardware found" wizzard.
I'm guessing that skype has some sort of usb enabler that i didn't know about, but is there any use to it?

My guess is that it is probably for webcam / mic support.

Did you try letting it install the drivers or w/e?

I tried the Search for driver option, but it got no results, chances are it was an accident by sony and no proper driver for it exists.
