SNES Emulator Wont Run

Greetings Everyone,

I'm running 3.90 M33-3 on a fat PSP. I have searched in several forums regarding this problem, but have found no working solution so far. I've tried almost every verion of *Snes9xTYL* I can find, but each time I start them the loading screen goes black and nothing happens. I then have to hold my powerswitch up for almost 1 minute+ to turn off my system. I've also enabled 1.50 Kernel under the Recovery Menu; I've tried running it on 1.50 Kernel and 3.90 Kernel. Could anyone please offer me assistance? ^^

ok... if you have the recent Snes, then it should be ok...
one thing you must not to forget...
Place the SNES on the GAME folder and no where else.

i think 3.9 kernel is able to read this if i'm not mistaken, if not change it to 1.5 kernel.
it should run ok... just make sure to place SNES on the GAME folder, otherwise.. nothing will work..

I had the same problem the Sega emu does the same thing, I thought it was just my psp. What's really wierd is that when u see that black screen if you move your power button to pause, you will see the snes or sega screen but when you switch back you will get a message that says "confirm delete x-yes o-no" then it just freezes. Hope you find a solution cause I didnt.

Have you tried hitting the brightness button on your PSP a few times when this happens? Usually when a crash occurs the PSP will shut itself off, which isn't happening here. This could just be a case of the backlight shutting off.

Have you grabbed the latest version of snes9xTYL ?
it can be grabbed here

When you say sega emulator are you using PicoDrive?

both these homebrews ive listed above run on 3.XX kernel BTW

Seems to me either your memory stick is corrupted
or you need to reinstall 3.90 M33-3 to fix the problem.

Try backup all data to PC then format the stick in PSP then retransfer your data
back and see if you get the same result launching homebrews.
