Earlier this week SEGA of Japan made a statement on the official Sonic Unleashed website, revealing that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game had been pushed back due to quality concerns. Turns out that, apparently, the statement was made in error, with SEGA's Japanese division now saying the delay was purely a result of marketing decisions.[blockquote2]The difference in the international release dates is based on the sales strategy and the manufacturing schedule. There will be no quality difference between the North American/European/Asia release and the Japanese version. Please be assured we are doing our best to deliver a top quality experience to people all over the globe.[/blockquote2]That's reassuring to hear, but leads to the question of why was it not said in the first place?
