With a month to go before the game's official debut in Japan, SEGA has decided to postpone the release of Sonic Unleashed on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The title will now hit the region in Spring 2009. According to an official statement from SEGA Japan, the extra development time will be used to further improve upon the game's quality. The Wii version remains unaffected by the delay.
Sonic Unleashed is scheduled to hit U.S. stores next week on all of the aforementioned platforms and Sega of America has not given the slightest hint to a delay. Does that mean we'll be stuck with an inferior version? Hopefully not, but we should know very soon.
