It's been revealed that Sony has plans of continuing to support the PlayStation 3 through 2015. If it can, the company may even keep the console going longer than that. Speaking to GameSpot, PlayStation VP of hardware marketing John Koller said that as long as there's software for the platform, the machine itself will stick around much like its predecessor, the PlayStation 2, which Sony continued supporting long after the launch of the PlayStation 3.
"We're going to continue supporting the PS3 for the next few years," said Koller.
