XBLA Spelunky Will Totally Kick Your Butt on XBLA July 4

Why celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks when you can spend the day dying over and over (and over) again in a video game? Major Nelson has released info on some upcoming Xbox Live Arcade titles, and among them is Spelunky, the fiendishly challenging rogeulike platformer from Derek Yu.

First released in 2008 as a freeware download, Spelunky achieved a ton of success and praise due to its retro visual style, catchy soundtrack, and tough gameplay.

I'd get this if I had a 360. Hope it comes to PSN later down the road. Would be a good fit for Vita actually.

I loved playing this on my PC. Such an addictive and tough game. I'd say check out the PC version as it's free and totally worth playing. I might end up getting the Xbox 360 version just because it's a game I wouldn't mind owning two copies of.

Oh, and I agree with you all the way. Put this on PSN with cross-platform play for PS3 and Vita. Would be so awesome!
